It is often said that working on the climate should be done by everyone. For example, reference is made to agriculture, which accounts for 10% of total Flemish greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions must be reduced, and agriculture must also adapt to the already tangible consequences of climate change. The Expertise Centre for Agriculture and Climate within the Institute for Agricultural, Fisheries and Food Research) focuses on effective climate measures for agriculture.

Vaak wordt gezegd dat aan het klimaat werken door iedereen moet gebeuren. Zo wordt gewezen naar de landbouw, die voor 10% instaat van de totale Vlaamse uitstoot van broeikasgassen. Die moet worden verlaagd, maar anderzijds moet de landbouw zich ook aanpassen aan de reeds voelbare gevolgen van klimaatverandering. Het Expertisecentrum Landbouw en Klimaat binnen het Instituut voor Landbouw, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek) zet in op effectieve klimaatmaatregelen voor de landbouw.
