News Go4Food seeks food change actors for food strategy

Flanders is working on a future-oriented food strategy, and we need your help. Writing a strategy is one thing, while picking up promising ideas and stimulating them to actually happen is another.

Do you have an idea that can make the food system more resilient, sustainable and healthy? And do you want to share that idea and get to work with other food changers to make it happen? Because both aspects are equally important, Minister Crevits is launching a call for your idea to be picked up and who knows... given a boost through collaboration!

What?

We are looking for ideas that can contribute to the future Flemish food policy. In this way we connect farmers and citizens, we ensure healthy and sustainable food for everyone, we build (further) on a resilient food economy and we continue on the path of circular and sustainable business around food. And these are not just promises on paper: in addition to the strategy itself (expected to be delivered in 2022), we already want to create change and capture good ideas. We want to go for food together: Go4Food!

Who?

We are looking for food changers who are committed to share their own idea(s) and through collaboration develop them into a concrete initiative or project by the Flemish Food Summit in autumn 2022.

This Go4Food call targets professionals, start-ups or organized citizens' movements (citizens' initiatives, NGOs, civil society, local organization,... ) from all parts of the food system (agri-food chain, scientists, civil society, governments...).

Submit your idea

You can submit your idea from 14 June to 30 July 2021 by filling in a form. In this form you give your contact details and write down your motivation. You elaborate on your idea and indicate how it can be linked to the strategic objectives of the Food Strategy and what the possible impact of your story is: Oproep Go4Food | Departement Landbouw & Visserij (vlaanderen.be)
