On public transport

The nearest large railway station is Gent-Sint-Pieters. In front of the railway station, take bus 43 "Gent Blaarmeersen - Melle Caritas" (a 20-minute ride). Get off the bus at the “Psychiatric Hospital Caritas” bus stop, and walk back towards the bridge over the E4O motorway. The entrance to ILVO is on your right, just before the bridge. It is clearly marked with an ILVO sign.

By car

Coming from Brussels on the E40, leave the motorway at exit 16 (Merelbeke). Follow the signs for “Faculteit Diergeneeskunde” (Faculty of Veterinary Science). Take the bridge over the E40 motorway. At the first roundabout (the entrance of the Faculteit Diergeneeskunde) take the road to your left (Salisburylaan). You will see a red pub as you round the corner. At the next roundabout, turn left onto Caritasstraat. Just before going under the E40 motorway bridge, turn right. This is the entrance to the Plant Sciences Unit on Caritasstraat. The site is clearly marked with an ILVO sign.
