ILVO is looking for a PhD student to participate in the European project Climate Smart Research. In this project 33 partners work together to test, improve and disseminate climate-smart agricultural practices. From a network of research institutes, advisors and pilot farmers we investigate how we can make the step from theory to practice.
You will co-lead projects that focus on knowledge exchange and set up research with impact. You will help build a network of European researchers testing climate-smart agricultural practices. By collecting, analyzing and sharing their experiences, you ensure that climate-smart agricultural practices do not get stuck in reports, but are also taken up by advisors and farmers.
You will work closely with colleagues within ILVO (interdisciplinary), with Jo (your supervisor at ILVO) and with a broad group of European partners. You will join the Agriculture and Society unit, where the focus is on socio-economic research. The project runs for 5 years. You will travel several times a year within Europe for project activities and collect valuable data for your PhD research and for the agriculture of the future. The international kick-off meeting is on September 12 in the Netherlands. The perfect start to get to know the project from the inside out!
