The 19th edition of the International Conference on Renewable Resources & Biorefineries will take place in Riga, Latvia from Wednesday 31 May until Friday 2 June 2023. Based on the previous RRB conferences, this conference is expected to welcome about 300 international participants from over 30 countries.

Material that originates from dredging to maintain the maritime access routes and ports, is dumped into the sea (when not reusable for beach nourishment) at five designated sites (S1, S2, Zeebrugge Oost, Oostende and Nieuwpoort). This amounts to 12 million tonnes of dry matter that is yearly dumped.
If the sample is not firmly packaged, the sample may either become contaminated or can contaminate other samples.The period between sampling, shipping and receipt should be minimal. The samplesmust be kept under appropriate conditions and sent so that the integrity of the sample ispreserved.
