Press release ILVO co-organises congres about Artificial Intelligence for Animal Sciences
The second edition of the AI4Animal Science (AI4AS) Conference will take place in Ghent, bringing together researchers, industry, and stakeholders to explore the latest AI innovations in animal science.
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms livestock production, the conference focuses on applications that improve efficiency, sustainability, animal health, and welfare. Topics include precision livestock farming, data integration, AI-driven monitoring, and the environmental impact of agriculture.
Organised by EAAP, ILVO, KU Leuven and Ghent University, the two-day event features scientific sessions, a keynote lecture, and networking opportunities. It welcomes not only AI experts but also animal scientists and industry professionals interested in the future of AI in livestock systems.
Following a successful first edition in Zurich in 2025, the 2026 conference aims to attract a diverse international audience. The sessions will cover Advancements in data Collection, processing, standardization and integration; Emerging AI Applications in Precision Livestock Farming; Farm and Industry Adoption of AI in Animal Science; AI for Science; Datasets and benchmarks; Advancing Digital Biomarkers and Phenotypes with AI and Ethical, environmental and social implications of AI.
